For Anonymous Transfers (No Account)

When you use SendFiles.Online without creating an account, we collect:

  • Uploaded files: Stored temporarily for the transfer duration (7 days)
  • IP address: Used for rate limiting and abuse prevention
  • Basic analytics: Page views, transfer counts (anonymized)

We do NOT collect your name, email, or any personal information for anonymous transfers.

For Registered Accounts

If you create an account (required for Pro features), we also collect:

  • Email address: For account management and notifications
  • Password: Stored securely using industry-standard hashing
  • Payment information: Processed by our payment partners (Stripe/PayPal) - we don't store your card details
  • Transfer history: So you can manage your uploads

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the file transfer service
  • To prevent abuse and enforce our terms of service
  • To send account-related emails (if you have an account)
  • To improve our service through anonymized analytics

We do NOT use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.

File Storage and Deletion

  • Free transfers: Files are automatically deleted after 7 days
  • Pro transfers: Files are automatically deleted after 30 days
  • Manual deletion: You can delete your files at any time from the upload success page

When files are deleted, they are permanently removed from our servers. We do not keep backups of user files.

Data Security

  • All transfers use HTTPS (TLS 1.2+) encryption
  • Files are stored on secure servers with restricted access
  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
  • We regularly update our security practices
